The Meals on Wheels Program is in need of volunteers to deliver meals.  It consists of approximately one hour each week, around 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.  We need someone for around town and North Star delivery.  If interested, please call 463-1311.

Donations Needed: Moe Congregation. There are currently 30 workers that Polaris has hired from Puerto Rico. Some of these workers have brought their families here, others are in the process of bringing their families here with the intent to make Roseau their home. It is unknown exactly how many will eventually be here. They are NOT refugees. A refugee, according to United Nations is someone who has been forced to flee his or her country because of persecution, war or violence. A refugee has a well-founded fear of persecution for reasons of race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership in a particular social group. Most likely, they cannot return home or are afraid to do so. War and ethnic, tribal and religious violence are leading causes of refugees fleeing their countries. Though Puerto Rico remains unincorporated, Puerto Ricans are U.S. Citizens. They are employees that Polaris has hired. Our efforts are to come alongside these families as they make the transition to Roseau and to supplement what Polaris provides. Moe church is asking for your help to donate the following: Bed/Bath items: Towel sets, sheets - both queen and twin, blankets, pillows (new, if possible), 3 queen beds (no stains on mattresses), 2 twin beds (no stains on mattresses). As a reminder, the items we give are not the dredges of things that never sold at our garage sales. The items should be clean and in good shape. Our church will be in touch with the families and take care of delivering items directly. Please call the church office at 218-463-2069 to donate, or email the church office at moelc@centurytel.net.
